PADI Rescue Diver

PADI Rescue Diver Image

If you want to be involved with diving rescues and are up for a challenge, sign up for the rewarding PADI Rescue Diver course.

Have you got what it takes to keep a level head and help out in an emergency diving situation? If you’re up for the challenge, book our PADI Rescue Diver course. It arms you with every tool you’ll need to think like a rescue diver and practice with your PADI instructor so you can effectively assist in diving rescues. The course also builds on what you’ve already learned about scuba diving, developing your skills so you’ll be able to manage in a diving accident and give emergency first aid. Plus, it expands on what you already know about how to prevent diving problems.

The main components of the PADI Rescue Diver course are self-rescue, recognising and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing frightened divers, and rescuing unresponsive divers. Most of the divers who sign up for the course do find it demanding, and there’s no denying it’s intensive. But it’s a really rewarding experience and after divers have completed the course, they often say it’s the best one they’ve ever taken.

The PADI Rescue Diver course equips you with all the tools and techniques you’ll need to handle almost any emergency diving situation. Day one and two is divided between classroom learning and the water. You’ll spend time brushing up on the academic side of things, before moving onto the practicalities of being a rescue diver with some confined water exercises. On the third day, your time will be devoted to the open water where you’ll combine all the skills and knowledge you’ve been taught to take part in a series of simulated diving accident scenarios.

Weather & Water Temps

The sun shines in the Red Sea 365 days a year with virtually no rain.

Depending on the time of year, the thermometer hovers between 24°C and 39°C and the water temperature is 22°C to 26°C – so diving is great year-round.
