Play an active part in the training of new divers.
The focus of the programme is the PADI system of diver education and developing presentation skills, to enable you to pass your knowledge and experience on to student divers. It covers use of PADI materials, PADI standards, how to present and gives an introduction to teaching in confined water.
The Assistant Instructor course forms the first part of the full Instructor Development Course (IDC). Upon successful completion of the course you can conduct knowledge development presentations, evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills, teach the Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project AWARE Specialty courses.
Upon successful completion of the PADI Assistant Instructor programme, certification is by direct application to PADI.
